The Wonderful World of Watermelon!

Yesterday, August 5th was known as "National Watermelon Day!" What a fun day could be created around this...so that is exactly what we did! We started the day out with some awesome watermelon recipes;

To be a true redneck, you have to do it in your bare feet!

              

My oldest son spit his seed 29 feet! (He was against the bare feet)

While my second son wound himself up (it's true, look at the photo), but managed to only hit about 27 feet. Their daddy hit 30 1/2 feet which gave him the record!!!

Don't forget the little ones who just spit straight down...and forgot to put pants on...









We were so excited about our first "National Day" and are looking forward to doing future ones. I love any fun way to spend time with my family and this was a great day!!!
