Oh, the art of Programmatic Architecture!!

I was just recently introduced to Programmatic Architecture. Is this awesome discovery of mine new? To me, yes...but it has always been around! This type of architecture is a way of using an item (in an extreme form) to attract people to your business. For instance.....

Wouldn't you just love to have a cup of coffee with a friend at "The Coffee Pot"? This gigantic pot was built back in the day to attract customers to this restaurant that served burgers, fries and what else...coffee! Though you can no longer sit down in the pot for coffee, the pot has been moved to Bedford, PA where you can stand in front of it and snap a photo. Photo in front of a restaurant shaped like a coffee pot....cross that one off of the bucket list!

How about an ice cream sundae at this building which is shaped like...an ice cream sundae! Located in Everitt, PA. Vanilla ice cream, dripping with hot fudge and a cherry on top? My mouth is watering over a building!!

Feel like a king or queen when you stay in this castle for the night! Located on Lincoln Highway in PA.

We found this "Dairy" Bar on the backroad from Cleveland to Amish Country in Ohio.

I am simply amazed with this new love of mine! Keeping my eyes peeled for more :)
