Wordless Wednesday! The Chocolate Fountain went Crazy!!

Laundry...

Boy, was I just asking for it when I decided to have 6 kids. Laundry out the wazoo!!! I think at this point I am in need of 2 sets of laundry appliances. I definitely had to learn to do the laundry with as little steps as possible. I used to pull the laundry out, fold it, separate into each room stacks, carry it to the rooms and hang or put in drawers. I finally cut out the folding and separating. Why would I fold clothing that I am going to hang anyway? I now pull the clothes out, toss (unfolded) into 2 separate stacks (no longer each room) for each floor. Carry them to the rooms and either hang or fold for drawers. This has definitely cut my time in half and I need all the time in one day I can get!!



Personally, I prefer this kind of laundry....

My Answers!

Did you watch the Superbowl?

Yes!! Our own Pittsburgh Steelers played an awesome game though they lost to the Green Bay Packers. I am completely behind my Steelers and will continue to bleed black and gold forever!




2. What is the last book that you read?

I am currently in the middle of a great book; Deadly Ties, which I am reading to do a review on.




3. What is your favorite kind of cake?

I am a fool for lemon pound cake! But I can't have much because as the title says lemon "pound" cake. It is hard to only eat one piece!




4. Do you snore?

The only time I have ever been told that I snore is when I am pregnant. I have 6 kids so for at least 54 months in my 34 years on earth, I guess you could say, yes, I snore.




5. Do you play an instrument?

I play a few...clarinet, bass clarinet, contra bass clarinet and oboe. I have also learned to play saxophone since my 7Th grader plays it. It is not much different than the clarinet so it wasn't hard to catch on quick. Oboe is my absolute fave!!

The Super Bowl!!!

We only see it once a year...the Super Bowl!!! How many of you come together during the Super Bowl for good food, friendship and fun?!!! We love it here especially when our own are in it; The Pittsburgh Steelers!!! No Packers for us...



Sorry to my blogger friends who like Green Bay, but I am a hardcore Steelers fan!!!



There is nothing more exciting to me than seeing Troy do his thing!!



Pittsburgh people are crazy fans!!!

I Love Spices Way Too Much!!

As anyone can tell from my Knead a Recipe?! blog, I absolutely love to cook and bake. Every last recipe that I get comes from some sort of cookbook that I own. For Christmas this year, my dad bought me a cookbook with recipes served during The Depression Era.




By looking at this cookbook, I am telling you right now I could never have survived!! I never realized how much of a luxury spices are. I can't live without my basil and oregano! Salt and pepper were the staples back then. Don't forget lard. Watch out!! They made a recipe out of just about anything that moved!!


Need to roast a duck, this book shows you how. Potted pigeons? You only need 4 for a serving. Don't believe me?!!





As interesting as these recipes are, I think I would rather have my birds in a cage...than on my dinner plate!!
