Thrift Stores are always the bomb!!

I have always been a huge fan of yard sales and thrift stores, but I was so thrilled even beyond my norm this past week when I went shopping. I made a trip to the Salvation Army Superstore behind Century III Mall and went wild! I clothed my 3 school aged children for next to nothing! Name brands included; Gap, Old Navy, Aeropostale, XGames, Volcom and Tony Hawk!! I bought 31 pieces of like new clothing including 2 San Antonio Spurs jerseys and 1 pair of pink Converse Chucks, 1 Disney Cars backpack for my 4 year old and a bag of toys cars for my 2 year old. Grand total...$49.96!

The kids loved their stuff and I still have a ton of money in my wallet

But, shhhh...keep it quiet....don't want the kids to know ;)

  1. good for you! i can't imagine having to clothe 6 kids. i think a lot of people aren't comfortable with thrift shopping bc the negative connotation of those stores being "dirty" or for "poor people" gets to them, or they'd rather pay full price for name brands bc they don't want to take the time to shop around. almost all of my clothes come from thrift or discount stores, and most of my furniture is secondhand. i'm really into repurposing, too. i love finding new uses for old things.

    yay for thrift and vintage!
