Rub-a-Dub Dub...

So, last night, I had my 12 year old load the dishes into the dishwasher for the first time. He has been taking turns with his siblings unloading it for some time, but had never been asked to load it. After whining a little bit about having to rinse dirty dishes (he kind of has a weak stomach with these things) he reluctantly decided he better listen to his parents.

I can't figure out if what happened next was because he was truly trying to help out and didn't know any better....or if he thought purposely messing up would result in him not having to do this job again.

This is what happens when you put regular dish soap into the dishwasher....

Greg and I (including Cameron) spent quite a while bucketing out suds...any that didn't come out the seams of the dishwasher when it was closed. Sadly, no matter how much you remove, more of it appears when you turn the water back on. Next came the shopvac and one very annoyed dad!

Thanks for an adventurous night Cameron, you know, because we don't have anything better to do with our time....

  1. LOL! Tell Cameron I have done that.Twice. And both times I thought Tony was going to burst from sheer anger.

  2. Forgive him! I've done it too. I bet he won't do it again though. :-)
